Solid Waste Department & Recycling Department
The Solid Waste Department provides residential and commercial garbage collection (dark green cart) along with residential curbside recycling (blue cart). Residential garbage and recycling are collected on the resident's assigned weekly solid waste collection day when residents may place their garbage and recyclables curbside for pickup.The City also provides fee free business recycling. Businesses can call 256-760-6495 where Solid Waste Collection will work out a recycling plan tailored to the needs of the business.
Street Department
The Street Department is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of streets, alleys, and rights-of-way. They also maintain the department vehicles and provide curbside programs for the collection of household trash and yard debris. Weekly Leaf Collection Schedule
