The City of Florence employs approximately 700 full-time employees and approximately 100 part-time employees engaged in various areas of public service including public safety, managerial, technical, clerical, skilled and general labor. 

In support of the City's workforce, the Human Resources Department provides a full range of functions and services. Human Resources provides support services in such areas as policy and procedures, recruitment, equal employment opportunity, training and development, salary administration, position classification, benefits, workers' compensation, and employee assistance resources.

Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm, excluding City recognized holidays.
