Municipal Court

PARKING TICKETS MUST BE PAID IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT OFFICE OR VIA MAIL

The Florence Municipal Court handles all misdemeanors occurring within the Florence city limits. Court is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 a.m. and every third Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.

The Florence Municipal Judge Chris Smith, and the Florence Municipal Prosecutor, Heath Trousdale, work part-time and are available on days they are in court.

The Municipal Court Clerk/Magistrate and the other magistrates handle all court business on a daily basis and can contact the Judge or Prosecutor if necessary.

Some charges are payable without a court appearance and are accepted until 4 p.m. the day before the court date. Cashier checks, money orders, and cash are acceptable methods of payment. Other charges require a court appearance.
