The City of Florence Gas, Water and Wastewater (Sewer) Departments strives to provide the best service at the lowest cost possible in the City of Florence and Lauderdale County.
The Gas Department services over 15,000 natural gas customers within the City of Florence's corporate limits and parts of Lauderdale County. Due to its unique connections to three major pipelines located in the northwest corner of Lauderdale County, the Gas Department is able provide extremely reliable service at very competitive rates for both residential and commercial customers.
The Water & Wastewater Department serves over 24,000 water customers and over 15,000 wastewater (sewer) customers within the corporate limits of the City of Florence and Lauderdale County. With two drinking water treatment plants located on two separate sources on the Tennessee River and Cypress Creek and wastewater treatment plant near Cypress Creek, the Water & Wastewater Department also is able to provide extremely reliable service at very competitive rates for both residential and commercial customer as well.
