River Heritage Splash Pad
The Splash Pad is designed to be visually appealing with a light show and music creating an artistic effect. The Splash Pad is also interactive, initiating a place for children and adults to play and cool off during operating months.

 Fountain Hours Of Operation:
The fountain will operate from Memorial Day weekend in May to August 4, 2024, weather permitting.   

  • Monday-Thursday 11:30 am– 8:00 pm, with music playing all day. 
  • Friday-Sunday 11:30 am– 9:30 pm, with music playing all day.
  • Friday-Sunday 8:30 pm - 9:15 pm musical light shows.  The show is approximately 45 minutes.
The fountain will operate from Friday, August 9, 2024, to Sunday, September 1, 2024, weather permitting.

  • Friday-Sunday 8:30 pm - 9:15 pm musical light shows.  The show is approximately 45 minutes.

General Information and rules for park usage: All visitors to the park must abide by the park rules, city laws and ordinances, and state and federal laws. Failure to abide by any of the below rules may jeopardize future events.

  1. No inflatables allowed.
  2. Skateboards, bicycles and scooters are prohibited.
  3. Pets must be kept on a leash and the owner is responsible for pet clean-up.
  4. No littering.
  5. Pets are not allowed in the fountain.
  6. No event for monetary gain may be held. Selling of goods or services of any kind is prohibited by City Ordinance.
  7. Vendors are not allowed. 
  8. No fireworks.
  9. Use of personal grills is prohibited.
  10. Glass containers are prohibited in the fountain and playground areas.
  11. Cleats or spikes are not allowed on the lawn.
  12. Vehicles are not allowed on the sidewalks/lawns.
  13. All reservations and events must be scheduled through the Parks and Recreation Department.
  14. No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances are allowed in the parks.
  15. No landscaping alterations will be allowed. The attachment of any rope, wire, etc. to trees, scrubs or fixtures is strictly prohibited.
  16. No political or religious rallies, speeches or signs allowed.
  17. To avoid damaging irrigation lines, tent stakes or stakes of any kind cannot be driven into the ground. All tents must be freestanding and anchored with weights.
Pavilion Rental Information: 

The intended use of a picnic shelter is to conduct birthday parties, family gatherings, picnics, and other similar events for groups of 100 people or less. Picnic shelter reservations are not intended to be used for fundraisers, special events, commercial uses (where a fee is charged or money is collected), activities that are "open to the public," or events/gathering of more than 100 people. These types of events will require a Park Event Permit.

Reservation rules:  

  1. No refunds for cancellations. Rentals may be rescheduled during the same calendar year due to incremental weather.
  2. Reservations must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance unless the Parks and Recreation Department can reasonably accommodate the social event on shorter notice and waives the 2-week requirement.
  3. Rentals may be scheduled up to, but no more than one year in advance.
  4. Reservations are first-come, first-serve and will be made based on availability.
  5. Rental Fee is due at the time of booking.
  6. Rental time must include set-up and clean-up.
  7. No individual, company, or organization may book more than one event per month.
  8. The City reserves the right to block out dates for special events.
  9. Rentals may be booked between 8am-10pm. Rentals are booked for a 2 hours or 4 hours minimum depending on the number of people attending the event.

Additional Park Event Permit rules for River Heritage Park: A Park Event at River Heritage Park is defined as any event reserved for over 100 people or any event (regardless of the number) where the public is invited is considered a Park Event. 

  1. Reservations must be made a minimum of 3 months in advance unless the Parks and Recreation Department can reasonably accommodate for the Small Park Event on a shorter notice and waives the 3 months requirement.
  2. Adjacent parking lots may not be used as an event site without written permission from the Conference Center.
  3. The Parks and Recreation Department can set up tables and chairs for events up to 100 people. For events larger than 100 people, the renter is responsible for providing their own set up needs.
  4. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to require a Special Park Event Permit for any rental, and the lessor must follow the Special Event Policy for approval.

River Heritage Park is a public facility and may not be closed for events.
