Cypress Creek canoers, kayakers and residents, we need your help. To keep the new Cypress Creek Canoe & Kayak Access Area available for the enjoyment of all, please report any incidents of vandalism, improper activities, criminal activities, etc. to our 24/7 Dispatch at 256-760-6490, or if serious and immediate assistance is needed, call 911.
Damage has already occurred at the access area even though the project is not yet complete. In addition, there have been complaints from Cypress Creek residents of littering, boaters under the influence of alcohol, indecent exposure, trespassing, and more. Most boaters are responsible and understand what it means to be environmentally responsible. However, it is the few that don't understand or care that give a bad name to all.
Thank you very much for your help!!!!!
May 13, 2019Update - A new entrance gate has been installed. Boaters can walk in, but the gate must be closed while the concrete sets up. We will get back open as soon as possible as construction continues.
