Shelter Rental Policy

Shelter Application



  1. Permit is for social functions only (Picnic, Family Reunion, Birthday Party, etc.)
    • Selling of goods or services of any kind is prohibited by City Ordinance. Exception: citywide / sponsored public special events.
  2. For Special Event use, contact office at 256-760-6416 for Special Event Park Permit.
  3. There is a 2-hour minimum for all shelter rentals.
  4. Please allow enough time for set up and clean up during your scheduled rental time.
  5. You may arrive at the shelter 10 minutes before your scheduled rental time.
  6. Have your rental permit with you at all times during your reservation.
  7. The City reserves the right to block out date for Special Events sponsored by the Departments or the City.
  8. No Alcohol or inflatables (jump houses, slides, etc.) are allowed.

If the shelter is occupied at your scheduled time or it the power is not working, please call Park Police for assistance 256-760-6610.

Events open to the public will require completion of a Special Event Park Permit and an additional fee will be charged.

NO REFUND

Please clean up after your event, put all garbage in trash bags, tie them up, and place them outside the shelter. The shelter must be left clean, or a $20.00 fee will be charged.

We will reschedule shelter rentals canceled due to inclement weather during the same calendar year at no additional charge.
