Florence Recycling Secures AL Recycling Fund Grant

Our Solid Waste, Street, & Recycle Manager, David Koonce, and Education Outreach Coordinator, Kelly Balentine, were thrilled to receive the check from ADEM Director Lance LeFleur. These funds will go toward installing an eddy current separator and magnet, helping us further automate our recycling line and improve efficiency.

Tennessee River Litter Tournament Delayed Until Nov. 2!

The 9th Annual Tennessee River Litter Tournament has been rescheduled for November 2! Please share and invite a friend to join us Saturday, November 2,  from 8 to 11 in the morning. We will be starting the competition from both Riverfront and McFarland Parks where you can win cash prizes.

• $500 Grand prize to the group with the most volunteers
• $100 MVP Award for most litter collected (1 winner at each site)
