Land Development Division

The Land Development Division facilitates the preservation and enhancement of Florence’s built environment by providing a wide range of services including:

• Development and implementation of the Florence Comprehensive Plan
• Development and implementation of neighborhood, corridor, and special area plans
• Development and implementation of the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations
• Serve as technical advisors to the Planning Commission and City Council
• Reviewing rezoning and subdivision of property proposals

We strive to apply all regulations in a fair and equitable manner and complete the review process in an efficient and timely manner. We stand ready and willing to work with developers on solutions to assist in reducing the time and cost involved in developing a project.
