Florence Fire’s primary response area covers the city limits of Florence, providing various types of emergency services to over 40 thousand people from our 5 fire houses.  We also provide support to fourteen volunteer fire departments located throughout the county.  Florence Fire supports our primary and neighboring districts with technical rescue capabilities, but we also participate in the Alabama Mutual Aid System (AMAS).  This AMAS Team provides support to our regional and state partners with search & rescue capabilities, that include, rope, confined space, trench, water and structural collapse rescues.  We also provide limited hazardous materials capabilities, but that includes a great working relationship with our neighboring Colbert County Hazmat Team.
