Adopt-A-Street Program

Any business, group, or individual can participate by:

• Committing to keep the adopted street or roadway litter free for 2 years.
• Completing signed paperwork.
• Collecting litter and placing it in their personal or business garbage cart or dumpster.
• Calling the Florence Street Department to collect large items or litter that exceeds cart capacity.

The City of Florence will:

• Provide garbage bags, gloves, vests, and grabbers.
• Group supplies of vests and grabbers must be returned following a cleanup.
• Place a City Adopt-A-Street sign with the individual or group name on the adopted street or roadway.

If you are interested in adopting a street or just doing a onetime street cleanup, please contact the Education Outreach office at (256) 760-6495. We will provide supplies and schedule the collection of trash gathered.
